Profile:
John Caravella has twenty years of experience as a player and
still plays competitively.  He earned a silver medal in the Virginia
Commonwealth Games before moving to California.  He has been
coaching since 1999 and was fortunate to work with Gene
Selznick one of the 'Fathers of Volleyball.'

Currently, he coaches for Beach Cities Club Volleyball.  He was
the Director of Operations for Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos'
Beach Volleyball Camps and a tournament director for the
AVPNext.  He led Palisades High School Girls Volleyball to victory
in the 2003 City Championship and was named coach of the year
in 2003.  He took Thomas Jefferson High School to their first
playoff appearance ever and continues to lead every team he has
coached into the playoffs.

His beach students compete in CBVA events and some even in
AVP events(Alas, no more shall claim that fame).  He looks
forward to making all his students become the players they want
to be.
